Links
- Computer Video Magazine
The best (and only) UK magazine dedicated to the use of desktop computers
for video work. Includes a public discussion forum.
We are very sad to see that CV Magazine has published its last issue,
and will not be continuing. See the bulletin boards at DVDoctor
to read more.
- The Lurker's Guide to Video
Technical but highly informative collection of articles by a former
SGI engineer. Skip the bits that relate to specific pieces of SGI hardware
and software, there is still a lot you can learn (the original site
moved, this is the updated link).
- Using the Sony TRV900
A lot more than just stuff on the TRV900. Worth a read by anyone using
or interested in DV
- Adam Wilt's DV page
More useful information on DV, especially for the technically-minded
- Shooting
in Widescreen DV
Very helpful site by Ben Syverson for anyone interested in DV's 16:9
wide-screen format
- John Price
Resources and information for the ADS Pyro Firewire card. Also useful
for anyone using a standard OHCI 1394 card with Ulead's video editing
software
- Ulead
Authors of video and image software tools, including Video Studio, MediaStudio
Pro, PhotoImpact, Cool3D, etc. I have no association, I happen to like
their products!
- World-wide User Groups
Independent Web discussion boards for a wide range of media-related
products
Suggestion?
Can you recommend a good site related to digital video? If so fill in
this form and I'll consider it for inclusion. If I like it and add it
to this page you'll get a name check, and a link to your site if you give
me a URL. Please avoid recommending sites that are mainly just links to
other sites, I prefer to link directly to sites with useful content.
